Harajuku Photo Entry

This is by far my favourite town so far! The main tourist hot spot is Takeshita St. and that place gets so freaking packed. There is literally no place to move and there are a billion people. All the stores in the street are mega cheap and trendy so I understand why it is such a hot spot. I will also never get over the amount of lolita I see at Harajuku and just act as if it is normal. They go all out, from head to toe with big dresses, knee high socks, weird shoes, wigs, jam packed make up and contact lenses. At first I'm all touristy and go WOW that's awesome! But then I'm like... man that's freaky or man that's so much effort.

Takeshita St. and Harajuku St. is also filled with amazing second hand stores with a lot of branded and trendy pieces for cheap. I kept on seeing a lot of vintage Mickey Mouse, the real good ones go for about $50! Pretty much the trends right now are denim, acid bomber jackets, these weird clear stockings that have prints on them that look like tattoos (I would write one whole entry on how much I hate them) and girls wearing cute clothes topped with a swag beanie or swag hat (I call it kawaii-swag fashion and it is so lame, does not match what they're wearing and I dont understand it).

If ya'll expecting a video, sorry my battery died AGAIN in the middle of frolicking Haraujuku so I'll save the video when I go back. I didn't get to video my time inside the Tamagotchi Department Store and the Barbie store. So I used my iPhone for photos. I was expecting kids in the Barbie store but it was actually all grown women getting kawaii accessories and kawaii bento boxes.

I seriously love Harajuku but the place is jam packed! You can't move in the stores so you kind of lose motivation to dig for great things. But if you're on a budget and want trendy pieces this place is the place to be! Also to top off such a good day, Stephanie and I went to an amazing cafe. Back in Australia I will always search up restos/cafe to go to but being in Japan all I've been doing is "Oh this place looks ok lets go". This cafe was on the 5th floor of a building and the line was huge. It was good because Steph was game to wait for 30minutes to check what's the big deal with this cafe. We soon realised that it was also a 360 degrees cafe. Amazing. The food was on top delicious, the onion rings were HUGE.
