Ueno Zoo

This week is Golden Week for Japan which is pretty much a week worth of holidays because so many holidays fall on one week. It's a time where everyone around the country travels knowing Japan, everyone here works to their grave so it's the only time during the year that they have days off. Sadly, I havn't been doing anything GW related because my university decided to be a jerk and make us all go to school EVERYDAY but today. So that's one day off, when everyone else gets about 8 days off including weekends (something like that). My uni is a private institution and doesn't believe in fun.

But anyway I made up for it by going out nearly everyday, so yesterday I went to Ueno Zoo with Jamie and Rachel. I didn't plan this well enough because it was Kid's Day yesterday (yes a national holiday that is celebrated like Mothers/Fathers Day) and there were so many people at the zoo! It was doable though, just a lot of people. Something I'm use to already from this country.

I'm not sure if I went to the zoo to look at the animals or the kids, just way too many cute adorable babies! But anyway, the zoo had so many weird animals. Animals I didn't even know existed and they all look so weird! Especially that last fat one in the end of the video haha. My favourite at the end of the day was definitely the polar bear. He was huge! He was so majestic and flawless, I fell in love with him. Other favourite animals were the wolf and okapi!
