M.I.A

Hello!

So sorry I haven't been blogging that much recently. I actually haven't gone to a lot of places since my last post. It's that dry period where I've been busy with uni and I've just been super duper exhausted when it comes to the weekends. Luckily thought when it comes to the weekends I always say yeah I'm going to stay in today and just do nothing and relax, but then my wanderlust bug comes in and I just want to explore even on my own. Actually there's something better about exploring on your own at times. It's not lonely, it's just you need it.

I've been talking to one of my exchange buddies and she was telling me we are all at that stage where all we want is just alone time. You see the same people every single day, you go to class with them, and then when it comes to friday nights you hang with them and when it comes to weekends you plan outings with them. You're constantly with the same kid in a different country and you're not with your usual group of friends/family from back home - so obviously you're going to get home sick or just get tired of seeing these people and you just want alone time. She's right but I'm at that stage where I'm feeling indifferent. I don't mind being alone nor hanging out with friends. Spending time alone before use to be dangerous, seriously the amount of things that go through your head when you're alone can be deadly, but I'm at that stage where I have no choice but be alone so you start to love it rather than loathe it. Being by yourself in a different country, honestly you're in it by yourself. Your true friends and your true family are back at home, no one can really fill the void here.

I am making special friends, they're all gems. But realistically they don't know you as well as your friends back at home. Being in Japan as well, it's hard to find genuine Japanese friends. Language barrier is hard to overcome if you want to be close and do dnms, also finding Japanese kids who are interested in you as a person not because you're foreign and speak English is really hard to find. Anyway that's my heart spill for the month. I've only been here for 2 months and a bit and time isn't necessarily going fast. To think that I've got about 4x more of the time I'm here is crazy talk!

Here are some photos I've taken in the past weeks. Daily life. Daily eats. All that daily stuff.
Love you all,
G.
